The icing on the cake was the addition of Alex Markels on Guitar. Alex is smooth, swingin’ and funky all at once, and effortlessly melded with Tom and Pete. Alex is the son of the late local poet Bobby Markels. He and I have a musical relationship that goes back to the 70’s and the Caspar Flats Band. With a rhythm section like this, the rest is cake.
Alex Markels & Lady D were FANTASTIC!
I hired Alex Markels and Lady D to perform at our gala celebrating our 75th Anniversary and they were exceptional! They played various songs from old jazz to soul to pop. Everyone enjoyed them and they added more to our event! They were fantastic and I highly recommend!

Fabulous night with Lady D!
I found Alex and Lady D and the tramps through Gig Salad and was very pleased! Alex came to meet with me on site more than once to ensure set up would go smoothly and was completely on board with how we wanted the evening to go. Our residents loved the music and danced the night away! Highly recommend!
Passionate & Professional Musicians
We at Olimpia’s on the Boulevard have hired these fantastic musicians many times over and have never been disappointed! They are all great entertainers who truly have a passion for music and enjoy warming the hearts of all they play for!
Alex Markels is one of my personal favorites!!! He is an amazing guitar player and really brings this jazz standard to the spotlight! Lady D always brings her gorgeous voice and attitude, James Moseley & the 13 Strings constantly have us singing along, Tina Marzell & Karen Sudjian always soothe our souls, and I can’t say enough about Noel Jewkes…LOVE LOVE LOVE him on Sax!!! It is an honor and privilege to hear these musicians delight us on a regular basis, would absolutely recommend them!!!
